Specialists in Seniors Insurance Services was formed from a legacy of service to the senior community. After more than 2 decades guiding Specialists in Health Insurance Services, the parent company of Specialists in Seniors, President Bruce E. Gray founded Specialists in Seniors Insurance Services. Mr. Gray began working with Medicare beneficiaries in 1966, the year that Medicare was formed, and for the ensuing 40 plus years has worked tirelessly to guide, counsel and protect his senior clients.
Seniors are increasingly subject to harsh (many would say “predatory”) tax legislation and a host of complex and confusing investment and estate rules and regulations. Many continue to make financial decisions that are essentialy unchanged from when they were much younger and had the luxury of time to counteract significant financial risk. At Specialists in Seniors we only work with seniors who are retired, with a focus on investments whose principal and interest is 100% protected, that have liquidity, that offer competitive rates of return, that are protected from creditors and offer the investor privacy and confidentially.

It is a common occurrence for clients to ask us about our fees; i.e. how we are compensated. We are glad to share that information with you.
Our compensation is determined by the type of work we do for you. With some products we are paid by the companies that are the custodians of the accounts. In these cases there is no fee charged to the client. It is paid by the company accepting the funds and does not come out of the client’s pocket. In the case of securities, as Investment Advisors we are paid a fee. The important thing to know is that licensed Investment Advisors do not get a commission when your securities are bought or sold. In fact this type of Financial Advisor had its genesis because of churning (continuous buying and selling of stocks, mutual funds, etc.). It was determined that taking commissions out of the equation might decrease activities in some accounts and it did. Since we are fee based we receive no commissions. This typically results in lower costs to the client, often much lower. At Specialists we pride ourselves in putting our clients first. We know that when we help you make better financial decisions, our business benefits in direct and indirect ways. For this reason you should never be concerned that our recommendations will ever consider the fees we receive. They will not. Each recommendation intelligently assesses the goals you wish to achieve, identifying the financial vehicle(s) that are best suited to helping you achieve those goals.
